As a member of the Association, your organization’s basic information will be listed on our website allowing better communications with all interested parties.  Our annual membership fee is only $25 to encourage participation.  All rescue organizations that are willing to abide by the Animal Rescue Code of Ethics are eligible to become members.  Simply click on the link below to sign up online.  Instructions are included in the link as well as an option to print the form for later completion and mail delivery.

  Certification

After becoming a member of the Association you may apply for certification.  With certification your rescue will be recognized as providing services of the highest quality.  Shelters and veterinarians will work with you in a more streamlined manner and with confidence that you “will do the right thing”.  You will be role models for new or “young” rescue organizations and may be involved in our mentoring programs.

Certified members earn the prestigious title of “C.R.O.” (Certified Rescue Organization) and the Animal Rescue Association of America's “Certified” designation prominently displayed in our Member Listings area.  In addition, certified members may proudly display the Animal Rescue Association of America's symbol of Certification on their website and in printed materials.

Our certification process will evaluate the rescue operations to ensure compliance with the Animal Rescue Code of Ethics.  Our evaluation is designed to be rigorous yet not highly intrusive.  Details of our evaluation process are included in the certification package.  The certification fee is based on the size of the rescue organization and ranges from $100 to $500 for initial certification and half that amount thereafter for the annual renewal.
